Janet's Story is a fictionalized account of the life of my great grandmother Janet Elizabeth Johnston who left England as a nineteen year old bride in 1864, eventually crossing Canada to the Glenbow Ranche, west of Calgary in 1891. It follows two works of non-fiction family history (I Can See the Light and The Wood Island Munns) and Dear Boss, a compilation of letters about life on a Southern Alberta ranch during the depression. Articles about J. Frank Moodie and Marion Moodie appeared in Alberta History 2000 and 2002 respectively.
