Darrell trained at the Alberta College of Art & Design, and enjoyed a 33 year career with The Calgary Centennial Planetarium / Telus Spark Science Centre in Calgary, Alberta.

Since retiring, Darrell found his passion painting the beautiful Albertan wilderness and wildlife.

He loves to drive out to Kananaskis, or anywhere in the Canadian Rocky Mountain Foothills, past the herds of elk that wander the roads, and setting up an easel on the steering wheel of his old Dodge van, painting right there on site.

Many of his paintings reflect the trees and mountains of this area throughout the seasons. He also paint flowers, animals and other locations, and enjoys creating commissioned pieces. Most of Darrell’s work is in acrylic on canvas and occasionally watercolours.
