From the first time I tried it 25 + years ago I have had a love affair with wheel throwing pots. The amount of time I spent in my studio fluctuated over the years and in 2022 I left a stressful management job to follow my heart into the life of a full-time potter. I work from my studio in Creston, B.C. with my best buddy, my doodle Fid, by my side. My work is functional first with a close second to the beauty of glazes based on chemistry. I care very much how well something works - how balanced the handle, the right volume of liquid or food, the right weight when full to lift it. I want the user to enjoy, be inspired and enlivened by using a beautiful object in everyday life; that makes life more - more fun, more full, more cool, more meaningful… I make each piece, every time with intention. Although very much the same design, they are each unique, non-identical. Art makes living more meaningful, it is my greatest wish to spread joy to the everyday for those who give and use my pots.
