What an awesome example of fine craft! This wood bowl, shaped and turned by Jim Osenton of Calgary, AB, is made of Wolf Willow branches, cross cut and held together by epoxy and sawdust. Wolf Willow is blooming all over southern Alberta right now – the musky aroma permeates evening atmospheres. And this bowl makes me think of this every time I see it. I can’t help but think of one of my favorite scents that is also one of the most fleeting. Only a few days a year, and only where the Wolf Willow grows…
