- Don Hamm
Each year I paint a self portrait on or around February 2nd (my birthday) to record a bench mark in my evolution as painter. While there are variations each year, they’re basically consistent and are clearly Don Hamm. Like every artist, I’m a tactile and visual explorer, mostly in love with the experience of making marks.
- Blanca Botero Fuente
Blanco Botero-Fuentes lives and has a studio near Longview, Alberta. She has had several one person shows and also taken part in many group shows. “I am currently working with collage, abstracting ideas and using hand painted papers and the offerings of my own palette to build up intriguing textures.
- Bruno Canadien
My work speaks to the modern presence of Native peoples in the Americas, and honours them in their resistance to colonial governance and industrial invasion. The Freedom Fighter series of paintings is evidence that, headlines or not, Indian nations continue to assert themselves in their traditional territories. These adorned square canvas paintings acknowledge and honour our people as we actively engage the world in the 21st century, across the western hemisphere. The series is ongoing, and currently over forty pieces strong.
- Claire Uhlick

- Erin Boake

She has since spent her time seeking creative stimulation through painting, traveling and teaching.
- Gena Lacoste
Gena LaCoste paints what she loves. Gena has loved the grasslands from her first breath. She learned about the land and its unique ecosystems from her family, and this love has equipped her to paint the authentic lifestyles of prairie families. Now, Gena paints what she loves. “I was painting and drawing by the time I was three years of age,” Gena recalls. “My early memories include the river at the cow camps, and the sounds of water sliding past. Dust, heat rising, the arid smells of sage brush, and the tones of light begged to be painted.” Riding on her own horse to the cow camp with her father, for instance, etched images in her heart that she tries to record through colours and water. “I remember trying to find a way to draw a horse so that it looked like the ones in front of me.”
- Jana Milne
Possessing a remarkable aptitude for color and composition in all areas of her life, Jana discovered a natural ability and passion for painting in the mid 90s. Jana was born in Prague and moved to Canada in 1968. She graduated with a diploma in graphic design in 81 and turned her skills into a successful 20 year career in the field of advertising, design and print production. Her unique flair for textiles and home decor led her into the area of interior design. It wasn’t surprising to find out that Jana had a desire to paint. First starting in watercolors, pastels and acrylics, she soon moved to her preferred medium—oils. Her subject matter is diverse. Jana paints what inspires her. From still life and figurative drawings to original landscapes and commissioned work—she has an uncanny ability to capture the light and mood of her subjects.

- Steve Coffey
Steve Coffey has been an integral part of the western Canadian art and music scene for many years. He has curated travelling exhibitions, created large-scale public sculptures, taught college, and conducted many workshops and art residencies. His far-flung travels have taken him to places such as London, England and he has exhibited in Poznan City, Poland. Of the art in these major centers (along with favorites Berlin and Amsterdam), he speaks of being “visually exhausted and spiritually inspired” and he recalls the longing to return to the “intricate nuances and swirling beauty” of the Canadian landscape. He notes such influences as The Group Of Seven, Emily Carr and Alex Colville to name a few.

- Neepin Auger
Neepin has been painting since she was a little girl, and with guidance from her father and has developed a unique style that comes from expressions within. In her paintings the eye is drawn to the emotions of heartache and happiness that extend from native life from past years. Her paintings are distinctly different from those of her father and as Dale says he is passing the torch to the new generation.

- Linda Anderson Stewart
Linda Anderson Stewart works from a studio in her home on a small ranch, just north of Waterton National Park, Alberta, Canada. Her paintings are a reflection of the varied natural beauty she encounters there on a daily basis. With an honors B.F.A. from the Alberta College of Art and Design in Painting 1990, Linda has worked the last twenty years to develop her skills, in various media, so she can best express how the world’s color and light affect her. The permanent move to the Waterton area, eleven years ago, was a much needed catalyst. By immersing herself in that unique and much loved environment she recognized and embraced her strong need for a sense of place. Her work now encompasses the entire range of her visual experiences there…from large sky and landscape expanses to the smallest of wild flowers, hidden deep in the grass. All are parts of a whole that fill and complete her world.
- Anne Watson
