Paul Rasporich was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba in 1965. He started his painting career in 1989 at Master’s Gallery in Calgary, Alberta where he had two exhibitions.
His work is primarily figurative and he has been shortlisted by the House of Commons in Ottawa to paint numerous former Prime Ministers and was considered to paint Queen Elizabeth. He is an award winning artist with both Trout Unlimited and the Calgary Stampede. His work is featured in many private, public and corporate collections.
The primary themes in his work revolve around fly fishing, First Nations and Western subject matter. His most recent work can be seen on Ian Tyson’s latest albums, Raven Singer and Carnero Vaquero.
Paul lives in Okotoks, Alberta.
