Leah Kudel grew up in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan in a house that seemed to always have an abundance of bungee cords and medical equipment. Her childhood was spent designing, creating, and inventing with anything she could get her hands on.
In 2002 she graduated from the University of Alberta with a Bachelor of Art Education, and instead of becoming a teacher she decided to travel the world. Three years and twenty-two countries later, she moved back home to Canada in order to pursue her life-long dream of being an artist, artisan and designer.
In 2010 she started learning about glassblowing and has been addicted ever since.
Glass making has brought Leah all over the world to places such as Pilchuck School of Glass in Washington, Czesky Glassworks in Czech Republic and Horizon Glassworks in Bali to name a few.
Due to her newfound artistic passion, in 2011 Leah decided to go back to school to study glass in a more intensive manner. Since receiving her Bachelor of Fine Art in Glass at the Alberta College of Art & Design in 2014, Leah has worked in various glass studios in Canada and The United Arab Emirates.
