As a lifelong potter (42 years) and the owner of eARTh Studio (Nelson, BC) D.E.Walters has extensive experience working with low, medium and high fire clays and glazes, handbuilding, sculpture and wheel techniques. She is always experimenting with form, process and colour in the ceramic medium. She regularly participates in workshops for advanced potters, and attends the NCECA National Council of Ceramic Educators conference, annually. Her work is in galleries in Alberta and BC. She is also a member of the BC Potters Guild.
"My ceramic womanscape basins and sinks explores the relationships in our landscape, when seen as female, and depicts the feminine principle as nourishing all life within her folds. Our relationship to our mountainous landscape as potters is part of human and earth’s creativity."
