Handcrafted earthenware and stoneware pottery with heartfelt, sweet and funny messages, designed in Canada by artists Debra Durrer and Tash Durrer.

Debra says: "I love the decorative arts…. my present ceramic work has elements of the rural European heritage with very bold colours, sunflowers, gold lustre, intricate linework and words on pieces.

Process and  movement in the application of the coloured slips and the intense and obsessive detail of decorating displayed in a broad range of styles as I continue to develop three main stylistic areas – abstract  landscape, graphic black and white, and traditional handpainted compositions on earthenware.

I received a Masters of Fine Arts Degree at Ohio State University in 1990 and a BFA from the University of Manitoba.  I taught at the Alberta College of Art in Ceramics in 1991 and then continued to pursue a full time career as a production potter."
