In THE GIRL NEXT DOOR, Fabienne Leydecker and Stacey Walyuchow present two distinct bodies of work that unexpectedly echo one another through recurring figures of women, animals and birds, symbols that feel instinctual, watchful, and quietly charged.

The title speaks to the idea that we rarely know the full story of the people closest to us, or those we assume we understand.
THE GIRL NEXT DOOR becomes a stand-in for anyone: familiar at a glance, complex beneath the surface. It suggests that we may have more in common than we think, and that there is always a way to relate to people. Even the girl next door.
