Artist's Statement

'Caribou are the embodiment of endurance, determination and fortitude, and as spirit animals are said to be the guides through the veil; the ones who carry the soul swiftly and safely.

These paintings are a visual exploration of my otherworldly experience in the place between worlds, and the guides waiting there for the journey.

I consider them talismans for safe travel during dark times.'
