When Calgary artist Verna Vogel agreed to host this Art Church, she was immediately brimming with ideas which could serve as a great place to start a discussion! Some of Verna's mesmerizing paintings from her 'Archaea' and 'Fragile Planets' series currently reside on sunlit pillars in our gallery space. As an artist, she is interested in 'perception beyond sight' - and how this informs our human experience of life.
Calgary artist Frances Vettergreen will also join us for this Art Church! Frances' extraordinary paintings - whether abstract landscape, plein air or still life - are an exploration of her distinctive visual voice as an artist.
John Morel'sformidable skills in fine woodworking are currently on display in many forms around Bluerock, this impossibly graceful music stand being one of them. Whether it be one of his live-edge tables, a rocking chair or a small lidded box, his creations are always examples of expert design, seamless joinery, and beautiful finishing.
