My artistic education has been self-directed, relying on experimentation along with books, magazines, other artists and a few art related workshops. I paint with acrylic inks and paints along with moulding paste, gels, metallics, sand, paper and found objects on canvas. Sometimes applied thickly and at times poured thinly, my paintings are impressionist, representational and abstract. I paint with my hands, paint scrapers, knives and very large brushes. I am fascinated with texture and color.?I also paint with encaustic wax on wood, embedding papers and found objects in the wax.?Additionally, I work with hammering metal into jewellery forms. I primarily work with copper, brass, aluminum and galvanized steel.
